Oregon City Mold Testing

Schedule your mold inspection today.

Rescom Restoration is available for same-day and emergency services - we also offer repair services (if needed) to help evaluate and stop any moisture issues contributing to your mold problem.

Our demolition-free dry fog system has two components; First, is a sterilant which dissolves the outer membrane of a mold spore on a molecular level. Second, is a microscopic layer of preventative molecules which attract mold spores when they re-enter the environment and kills them. This is a non-invasive, non-toxic, all-inclusive, cost-effective treatment that takes roughly 2 hours per 1,000 sq. ft of living space. We will make sure you are back in your home the same day.

Specialized Mold Testing Services - Oregon City

Our thorough mold testing process is the first step in properly removing toxic mold and improving air quality in your home. Even if you're not sure where or if mold has grown in your residence, we thoroughly examine your home, analyze our findings to determine the root cause of any potential danger, and determine how to remove it. Call Rescom Restoration today to return your home to a healthy living condition. We use advanced testing methods to find and remove any toxic mold while keeping your house intact.

Mold Sampling

During a mold inspection, we collect air and contact samples to determine the presence of mold in your home. This air testing determines the presence of mold spores in the area, even if the mold isn't visible yet. While you may not see mold, these spores can travel through the air and cause respiratory issues, allergic reactions, and general fatigue and illness. We're also sure to take contact samples of any visible mold that can be analyzed to determine the extent of mold contamination in your home. This initial task is important in determining source and severity of any mold-related infestation. By taking these samples, we'll be able to locate mold in any crevice of your property.

Mold Analysis

Once mold samples have been collected, we transport them to an offsite laboratory for examination. This independent third-party laboratory will make sure the results you receive are completely unbiased and won't lead to unnecessary mold treatment. The mold spores we collect are so small that the lab must examine them under a microscope to determine the type of mold and ultimately the extent of its growth in your Lake Oswego home. This process generally takes 4 to 5 business days and will help us to determine the method of treatment to pursue in removing the mold. By analyzing the findings, the lab will ultimately help us determine the level of urgency needed for remediation; if the mold is discovered to be highly allergenic or toxic, we will help you in taking immediate steps to remove it.

Mold Results and Restoration Steps

After thoroughly collecting and testing any findings from your home, we will have a better understanding of the variety and extent of the mold growth. Our next process in improving your home's air quality will be to determine the source of the mold and eliminating it. Our dry fog removal process specializes in eliminating mold from every corner of your building without damaging your house, so you won't even have to worry about demolishing walls. This proven and patented dry fog technology will wipe out toxic mold from virtually any building, breaking down microbes on a molecular level without even causing water damage.

Mold Testing is a small, but important part of the mold removal process. We'll cover any and every nook and cranny in your home. From attics, basements, and garages, to duct work, HVACs, and crawlspaces, you'll get a thorough examination to determine the best possible solution to get your home back to a healthy air quality as soon as possible.

Our Dry Fog System

Dry Fog

Smaller droplets rebound from surfaces creating a vapor. The vapor, as well as the fumes, create an inescapable environment for mold and bacteria.

Wet Fog or Ozone

The larger droplets burst and create wet surfaces, like rain. The larger particle size also creates gaps in molecular coverage and leaves a residue.

Home Air Quality Testing

You may not see it but your body may show signs of mold in the air. If you are facing any sudden respiratory problems or unexplainable health concerns, it may be mold spores floating in the air leading to mold allergies.

Every mold treatment should begin with getting your air quality tested. Air quality readings provide insight into the severity of your mold problem. The goal with every one of our treatments is to guarantee air quality that is completely free of dangerous mold spores.

After we've gotten the moldy sections out from your home, we'll perform a follow-up air quality test. We want to leave every job knowing that your home is completely disinfected and not posing a health threat.

Contact Rescom Restoration for a full air quality check.

When you schedule a free consultation with us, we give the homeowner a good understanding of exactly what mold is, how it works, some of the potential health risks involved. We also discuss different remediation options and systems used as well as layout how ours exceeds in comparison. We look for obvious potential contributors to mold issues as well as look for common causes so we can address them before we treat the home for a long term solution.

When you schedule a service call, we will actually go into your attic and crawl spaces, assess the out of sight out of mind areas for mold and moisture risks or exposure. This service includes 2 separate area mold air tests that we send off to a 3rd party laboratory for analysis. Within 3-4 days we’ll receive a detailed report on the mold levels and specific varieties of mold in the ambient air in your home. This will alert us if there are highly allergenic or toxic molds in elevated levels so we can establish what level of urgency we might be looking at to help in the remediation decision-making process. We charge $150 for this service which includes the first two air tests. Any additional tests can be done at that time at $50 per test. Each home is different and we can help you decide how many tests you want to have done based on the specifics of your home and situation. Give us a call today to schedule an appointment!
