Understanding what type of mold is growing inside your home or office determines the best course of action to contain and remove mold at the source.
That’s why we offer homeowners and businesses the option to get mold testing after our inspection for an added fee. This testing will identify the type of mold present. Knowing how toxic the mold is will also help us determine the urgency of the situation.
An independent third-party laboratory performs all of our Portland mold testing to ensure the results you receive are unbiased and won't lead to unnecessary mold treatment and cost.

What To Expect During Testing
When you schedule a service call, we will actually go into your attic and crawl spaces, assess the out of sight out of mind areas for mold and moisture risks or exposure.
This includes 2 separate area mold air tests that we send off to a 3rd party laboratory for analysis. Within 3-4 days we’ll receive a detailed report on the mold levels and specific varieties of mold in the ambient air in your home.
This will alert us if there are highly allergenic or toxic molds in elevated levels so we can establish what level of urgency we might be looking at to help in the remediation decision-making process.
Each home is different and we can help you decide how many tests you want to have done based on the specifics of your home and situation. Give us a call today to schedule an appointment!
Step 1: We Take Mold Samples
-
We take air and contact samples during your free inspection to determine what type of mold spores are in your home or office.
-
Air sample testing will detect what mold spores are present in the air that you might not be able to see yet. Contact sample testing will test the mold that’s visible.
-
Both of these tests will confirm the presence of mold in your home or office and give us the information we need to develop the right treatment plan for you.
Step 2: We Analyze The Samples
We send these samples to a third-party laboratory for examination under a microscope.
The laboratory we use is completely unbiased and will give us a full report of what type of mold is present along with the extent of its growth. This can take up to five business days.

Mold Types: Allergenic, Pathogenic, and Toxigenic
Allergenic
Molds that cause and produce allergies and allergic reactions such as asthma attacks
Toxigenic
Molds that produce toxic substances that can lead to dangerous or even deadly health conditions. This is sometimes referred to as “toxic mold.”
Pathogenic
Molds that cause health problems in those suffering from an acute illness.
Our Dry Fog System
Dry Fog
Smaller droplets rebound from surfaces creating a vapor. The vapor, as well as the fumes, create an inescapable environment for mold and bacteria.

Step 3: Results and Action Plan
-
Once we have your lab report back, we’ll know what type of treatment is best.
-
If the lab test comes back positive but without a mold source, then our next step will be to locate the source.
-
If we have a source, we’ll take steps to keep the mold source contained and determine the best course of action for complete mold removal.

Wet Fog or Ozone
The larger droplets burst and create wet surfaces, like rain. The larger particle size also creates gaps in molecular coverage and leaves a residue.
Dry-fogging allows us to sterilize every part of a room and everything in it. Remove mold from every corner of your building by letting our dry fog disinfects carpets, furniture, upholstery, cabinets, toys, electronics and more.
Our dry fog mold removal eliminates mold spores from the air and penetrates walls, floors, and ceilings to sterilize every surface of your home. For mold that’s gotten behind or beneath the surface area, dry fogging is provides a quick solution that kills active mold spores.
We break down mold -- not walls!
Kill mold and keep your walls in one piece with dry-fogging
Traditionally, mold that has reached the inside of walls requires expensive demolition of the entire wall (or walls) to remove. With our proven method of dry fog mold removal, you get 100% sterilized mold at a fraction of the cost compared to other mold removal procedures.
In many cases, there will be absolutely zero need for any demolition within the building. Our process leaves you with mold-free air, removes mold spores on contact and puts an end to the spread of mold in your home or office.
