When you schedule a free consultation with us, we give the homeowner a good understanding of exactly what mold is, how it works, some of the potential health risks involved. We also discuss different remediation options and systems used as well as layout how ours exceeds in comparison. We look for obvious potential contributors to mold issues as well as look for common causes so we can address them before we treat the home for a long term solution.
When you schedule a service call, we will actually go into your attic and crawl spaces, assess the out of sight out of mind areas for mold and moisture risks or exposure. This service includes 2 separate area mold air tests that we send off to a 3rd party laboratory for analysis. Within 3-4 days we’ll receive a detailed report on the mold levels and specific varieties of mold in the ambient air in your home. This will alert us if there are highly allergenic or toxic molds in elevated levels so we can establish what level of urgency we might be looking at to help in the remediation decision-making process. We charge $150 for this service which includes the first two air tests. Any additional tests can be done at that time at $50 per test.
